Humans have known that Earth is round for more than 2,000 years, but despite this, many conspiracy theorists are still adamant that our planet is flat.

Now, one man has posted a mind-blowing video from the highest point in Canada, to prove these conspiracy theorists wrong.

Mark Harrison, a videographer based in Canada, regularly posts videos on his TikTok using a 360-degree camera mounted on a pole.

In one of his latest videos, the daredevil climbed to what he claims is the highest point in British Columbia, pointing his camera up into the clouds.

He said: “I’m at the highest point in BC and i’ve got a selfie-stick that points into the atmosphere.

“This is my final test to show you that in fact, the early is truly round.”

After extending the pole, Mr Harrison’s camera filmed mind-blowing footage of the Earth, showing its spherical formation.

The video has now been viewed over 26 million times, although it seems that many viewers found it difficult to watch.

One user commented: “Don’t ever put me up there again,” while another joked: “I’m pretty comfortable with heights, but let me tell you…I was scared for you walking towards that ledge.”

While humans have known that the Earth is round for 2,000 years, these days scientists use

geodesy – the science of measuring Earth’s shape, gravity and rotation.

NASA explained: “Geodesy provides accurate measurements that show Earth is round. With GPS and other satellites, scientists can measure Earth’s size and shape to within a centimeter. Pictures from space also show Earth is round like the moon.”
